PMAN12094 Posted April 2, 2021 Share #1 Posted April 2, 2021 The mask it’s self is dated 1996 along with all the parts on the mask also being dated 96. The tinted outserts are dated 1995. The manual is dated February 1994. I’m unsure of what the date is on the quick doff hood and carrier. I have not disassembled it since I do not have the tool to remove the from voice diafram above the outlet valve.

mohawkALSE Posted April 6, 2021 Share #3 Posted April 6, 2021 As stupid as it sounds, its very clutch to have that face form with it still.

I’m not sure how to even use it but one thing is for sure I’m not going to get rid of it they seem hard to come by these days.

Obviously these wouldn't be in the field if you are expected to don the mask fast, but when it storage and not being used they are a must.

No, looks upside down, that part at the top goes on the down side where the face cup area is. Should basically stay flush inside the mask.

That makes more sense I didn’t even notice I put it in wrong until you pointed it out I will definitely fix it
Rhscott Posted June 7, 2021 Share #11 Posted June 7, 2021 Much harder to sleep on this mask than the older M17 series……they made great pillows.
PMAN12094 Posted June 7, 2021 Author Share #12 Posted June 7, 2021 2 more sealed c2a1 filters the one can I might open since it has a few dents the other one isn’t too bad but has some paint chipping on it.
mohawkALSE Posted June 9, 2021 Share #13 Posted June 9, 2021 Probably ok to just open it and use it for display etc. There was actually a huge list of suspect lot numbers of bad canisters around the time frame that they would list in PS Magazine I believe it was. The “T”, which will be stenciled large on the canister, indicates the canister has been retested and is safe to use. All other canisters with these lot numbers should be used only for training and mask confidence exercises using CS and CN tear gas, but not for training with live agents." Looks like that very 1st one in the list is the 1 on your second can.
