Bruce Linz Posted April 2, 2021 Share #2 Posted April 2, 2021 That is the ribbon for the Burma Star. That was is a campaign medal, awarded to British and Commonwealth forces for serving in Burma during WWII. I’m not sure why that ribbon shows up on some WWII veterans’ uniforms because it was never authorized for wear.

FT.Monmouth1943 Posted April 2, 2021 Share #4 Posted April 2, 2021 I believe it’s the China Sevice/Victory ribbon. This is the first version, and the later ones had a yellow center that was wider instead of the orange one. - Jakob
