Having originally bought the photo book for photos of old San Antonio, I was surprised to find that within the photos of family and buildings, there were photos of the 3rd Pursuit Squadrons time during their training in the Philippines. As well, there were photos of Randolph Field in 1933.

First, a photo of the man who saved the pictures in 1926.

Now for the Philippines photos.

Unfortunately I do not, but there's a few other names in the album that are related to the vet, hopefully that will bear fruit with enough research.

I'm fairly certain that the man in the photos is Louis V. McKenney. I've attached a copy of a photo taken of him 1947. I've got his WW II medals, just use the Forum "search" with his last name, it will bring you to the USMF thread which has the images of the medals. I have a copy of all his service records and his career matches the dates/places in the album. Please email me at [email protected]. I'd like to discuss this further if you're interested.

Kind regards,

Pat McGovern

What are the odds! Just looked through what you posted in the thread, and it all matches up indeed with what is in the album! I will be sure to shoot you an email soon.
