66cuda Posted March 24, 2021 Share #1 Posted March 24, 2021 I recently acquired this pouch and the magazine’s came with it. I can’t make out any of the wording on the pouch, but I believe it’s WWI vintage. magazines have no discernible markings. one was advertised as military issue but I see nothing to support that. any feedback would be great. I’ll let the pictures do the talking.
armysoldierant1944 Posted March 24, 2021 Share #2 Posted March 24, 2021 It is WW1. To my trained eye, I am able to see that it is very faintly marked L.C.C. & CO. (L.C. CHASE & Co). Could be 1918

It's just that after collecting these pouches for so long, I have become familiar with the fonts of their manufacturers and from there becomes a catalyst for deciphering the very faint markings...then as you stare at them longer, they becomes clearer. Your pouch is a WW1 pouch with designation M-1918. I love these pouches. Cheers from the Philippines!
Brian Keith Posted March 25, 2021 Share #7 Posted March 25, 2021 Look down on the toe of the magazines to see if there are any letters stamped there. That would indicate a military issue mag. BKW

M1Garandy Posted March 27, 2021 Share #12 Posted March 27, 2021 As they are full blue and not two tone, they are WWII magazines.
