5thwingmarty Posted March 22, 2021 Share #1 Posted March 22, 2021 Steve L had posted a small wing not long ago that was not hallmarked, but there was a mark on the Blancard type catch. I rotated Steve's photo for comparison. I was doing some trolling for info on the net and found a few things. Next is an ad from the 1907 Jewelers' Circular for Blancard & Co. findings. Next is a hallmark attributed to Blancard on the Langantiques.com website. COuld the trumpet shape Steve noted actually be the Blancard animal hallmark? Steve L Posted March 23, 2021 Share #2 Posted March 23, 2021 Thank you Marty for your research, and bringing this inquiry / question back up. It would be great to hear some feedback on this as I am clueless here, but I am an appreciative sponge for input, and any chance to learn more. Never enough thanks to everyone here who's contributions continue to enrich the 'experience' within the hobby. Steve
5thwingmarty Posted March 23, 2021 Author Share #3 Posted March 23, 2021 Hopefully others have examples with similarly marked fittings that they can examine and comment on. I only have one item with a Blancard type catch, and it is not marked at all. Marty
