Hello folks,

I picked this up at a flea market yesterday.  The color in my photos may be a little off but both liner and pot are standard OD.  The vertical stripes are rank? Typically I've seen the rank in horizontal bars.  There appears to be writing in red on the liner webbing but I can't make it out.   Firestone liner.

Any thoughts or info would be appreciated.

Best,

Robert

Very nice original set. I would say rank. Just the way he chose to do it?

You have one thin bar over a thick and thats typically Lt.JG  rank I recall.

LtJG is what I was thinking.  I live in a big Navy area so Navy items are very common around here but not so much painted lids except for the occasional plain gray.

Thank you,

Robert

Rob. That is one sweet Navy. And a flea market find to boot. Really great find. Fixed Navy’s you don’t see anywhere near as many as you do swivels. Great post and pickup.
