bravo_2_zero Posted March 19, 2021 Share #1 Posted March 19, 2021 I picked this up in a job lot of military kit from an Americana dealer here in England. I have no idea if this is replica or real , I can’t find tags / stamps / pin holes from something removed.

FT.Monmouth1943 Posted March 19, 2021 Share #3 Posted March 19, 2021 These custom made P56 were produced in Japan in the 50s and 60s and do exist. However, this one appears to be a reproduction. - Jakob

FT.Monmouth1943 Posted March 20, 2021 Share #5 Posted March 20, 2021 I personally haven’t come across any with grey flimsy buttons specifically, but I’ve had one where the buttons were fairly brittle. The quality of these really vary depending on the tailor. Also, just to further explain why I believe this piece is a reproduction; the biggest red flag is the synthetic thread used on the jacket. On top of that, it’s pretty much identical to the repros you can find on Amazon. - Jakob
