cagedfalcon Posted March 19, 2021 Share #1 Posted March 19, 2021 Some of you may remember the Bob Hope collection I posted a while ago, this group is also from the same family. John was a graduate of Wentworth Military Academy, class of '52. This sword was presented to him in 1998. The drawing was done by a close friend of the family Ken Worthington in 1995. It depicts the buildings of the academy. Sent from my SM-G998U using Tapatalk
cagedfalcon Posted March 19, 2021 Author Share #2 Posted March 19, 2021 John was also in charge of the VN vets homecoming dinner at the White House in 1972. His wife said, she had to take him clothes due to him wanting everything to be perfect so he slept in his office just to be there when it counted for others. This paperweight was presented to him for his dedication. https://www.wearethemighty.com/mighty-history/nixon-returns-vietnam-pow-dinner/Sent from my SM-G998U using Tapatalk
