Two bullion wings for review and opinion

The pilots wing on top has a blue backing and the bottom wing is a black backing and is much larger than the pilots wing. What can be gleamed from them?

The blue backed one was most likely made in England as that was the theater that adopted this regulation.

 

The air gunner is theater made but which country? I am not an expert on bullion construction patterns.
