4th Miss Cav Posted March 15, 2021 Share #1 Posted March 15, 2021 On a 2019 trip to Franklin TN I visited the Carter House. The first picture is the inside of an original wooden building that is behind the main house. The Union lines were about 30 to 40 feet in front of this building. It is hard to imagine how anyone survived this. The second is the same building from the outside. The Confederates were advancing from the south so this is looking north. The third picture is of a brick building that is 30 or so feet to the left of the white building. I asked about the bricks in the upper left and were told they were replacements for where a shell went through.
