Mr.Jerry Posted March 13, 2021 Share #1 Posted March 13, 2021 Just picked up this 4th Cav. uniform from the family- any idea what unit the snake is from? That was one I never saw before. Thanks! Jerry
Siamundo Posted March 13, 2021 Share #2 Posted March 13, 2021 Looks similar to the insignia of the 369th Infantry Regiment
aefcav Posted March 14, 2021 Share #3 Posted March 14, 2021 Are you sure he was 4th Cav? From years of research I’ve never seen a patch on a border uniform and that does look like the early 369th patchSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
FlyNavy02 Posted March 18, 2021 Share #4 Posted March 18, 2021 Agree with other comments about the SSI, but it does seem poorly placed on the shoulder. Also the 369th was a black unit and the 4th was white. Soldier has 4 overseas service chevrons representing 24 months. No campaign bars on the Victory Medal, would have expected some or at least "FRANCE" What was the Soldier's name? A check of the transport lists might reveal his unit. daniel griffin Posted March 20, 2021 Share #5 Posted March 20, 2021 It is a 369th Regiment patch - often faked, but this is one of the original variations.
