robison Posted March 12, 2021 Share #1 Posted March 12, 2021 Hello everyone! I’m not new to visiting the forum but I’m new to posting on it! I have these carbine pouches and was wondering what some of you think of them. Are they reproductions or originals? Thanks!
Steve Brannan Posted March 12, 2021 Share #2 Posted March 12, 2021 They look real to me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
huntssurplus Posted March 12, 2021 Share #3 Posted March 12, 2021 I'm pretty sure updike awning co was a manufacturer you see on chinese repros sometimes. Apparently there are original examples of this manufacturer as well from what I've seen. I think these are okay though, they don't look like low quality Chinese reproductions. MattS Posted March 16, 2021 Share #5 Posted March 16, 2021 The Chinese made ones I've seen have more of an orange tint to them, these look like NOS WW2 pouches. Last ones I bought at a show were $15.
dmar836 Posted March 16, 2021 Share #6 Posted March 16, 2021 Probably originals. Since I started collecting in the '90s they are everywhere.

jsalberry92 Posted August 1, 2021 Share #8 Posted August 1, 2021 Some repros use real manufacturer names, but they NEVER get the weight right. Always too light.
