Hello,

Could someone help me identifying what I would consider a USMC ww2 machete... ?

Please see pictures ...

Never heard about this "Disston" manufacturer.

Thank you for your help.

It’s an original WWII machete - in the more desirable green handle (IMHO).

Just curious, why would you consider this specifically a USMC example?

Hello and Thanks for the feedbacks !

Actually I don’t know about USMC or US Army... it is just specified as a USMC machete by the guy who is selling it 😉

What would be the correct price for this kind of item ?

Machetes were  issued to all branches, all theaters, the only way you might pinpoint USMC used, is if it is stamped on the scabbard, or maybe the blade, USN had a lot that were blade stamped early on, But not sure about the M1942 Disstons.  Price range usually around $75-$100. Most of the ones I've picked up over the years were less.  SKIP
