Larry569 Posted March 6, 2021 Share #1 Posted March 6, 2021 I ordered a plaque for my dad, CWO2 John A. Luko, last year for the Mt. Soledad National Veterans Memorial in San Diego, California. By providing his information, they created his plaque based on their format. It turned out great! They also provided me a framed picture of the plaque that I mounted at my house. My dad was in the Marine Corps from 1936 to 1957. The veteran’s memorial on Mt. Soledad overlooks the Pacific Ocean. You can purchase a Plaque for a veteran and have it placed on the short walls surrounding the cross. There are currently 5,172 Plaques on the memorial, and you can search the plaque database on the website. https://soledadmemorial.org/

sonofaFlyingDeuce Posted March 7, 2021 Share #3 Posted March 7, 2021 That is an impressive tribute to your father. I'm sure my Dad would have appreciated your father in one of his squadrons; he really respected the 'old school' marines. I knew one old 'China Marine' as a kid and he was a great influence on his sons and me as well. Thanks for posting.
