WWII OCS Collar Insignia

Does anybody know what collar insignia (if any) was worn by officer candidates during WWII? I ask because I recently saw a 1943 photo of two candidates, and neither man wore collar insignia on his service coat. The pair were attending OCS at Fort Knox.

I assume no branch insignia was worn until graduation. If at all I would imagine it would have been the unassigned branch insignia (immaterial), but I don't think they wore anything. If you check image number 9 (Australia) on the following link, you will see a 2nd Lt graduating and he has no branch insignia and is just receiving his rank insignia upon graduation.

The next photo also shows OCS candidates without branch insignia.

Thanks Reforger. That’s what I was thinking; OCS candidates often wore no insignia. I see two candidates in one of the photos wearing OCS insignia on their left breast pockets but nothing else. That appear to b the most that was worn but often not even that.
