I am honored to be the new caretaker of this brave 

young man who gave his all for his country ! Received 

1st CIB in Dominican Republic invasion 
was a member of Co A 325th inf. 82nd Airborne

special order # 150 82nd AB 

killed in action republic of Vietnam 

As  a member of Co C 1st Bn 14th infantry 25th Division

This is an exceptional group to a gallant soldier.  I am glad it will be well cared for.

 

it would be interesting if one could find out why this paratrooper was assigned to a “leg” unit especially with the 173d Airborne Brigade and the 1st Brigade of the 101st Abn Div in near constant contact during this period.

I am assuming he he volunteered for Vietnam ? Not sure either I have few pages of info ! I requested his IDPF 

may just go for full file ?

What a great piece of history. Thank you for remembering the sacrifice of Lider!

 

I find it very interesting how his grave only has PH. I wonder why they did not put SSM on it.

Letter dated feb 9 1967 I assume he was buried and they just never updated it ?
