I pick up 1st Division dogtags from WW1 whenever I see them. They are scarce which is why I only have 4 sets. Got me thinking about these low numbered tags and I was wondering who has really low numbered sets in their collection. I'll start by posting my lowest numbered set to Henry Buttermore of the 2nd Ambulance Company, 1st Infantry Division # 2295. Sadly Mr Buttermore died in 1922 from complications from being gassed during the war.

Great set!  I too love 1st Div tags, though I love 3rd Div tags more. I'll have to take a look at my 1st tags, maybe we can do some horse trading.
