easterneagle87 Posted February 28, 2021 Share #1 Posted February 28, 2021 Saw these at the local flea swap meet this morning. MIB Wolf Brown 1. With Sword and Knowledge, what unit? 2. Did I miss a deal at $5 ? Not like I need any more DUIs
collectsmedals Posted February 28, 2021 Share #2 Posted February 28, 2021 This pair of DUIs is from the 1401ST Engineering Battalion. The design was approved June 6, 1969. The placer mining pan, an engineer's tool. suggested by the shoulder sleeve insignia of the 49th Infantry Division, refers to the unit's descent, while the embattlements denote fortifications either built or demolished. The sword and sun reflect the motto, with the sword relating to leadership and the sun to light. The pan and sun are used to symbolize the golden state of California and the scroll simulates the Sacramento River around Redding, the units home area. The unit has no campaigns credited. easterneagle87 Posted February 28, 2021 Author Share #3 Posted February 28, 2021 Good info, thanks! Makes perfect sense, as I am in Northern California and the Redding area. The Sacramento River runs from hear to the Bay. Still the Wolf-Brown package, a good deal at $5?
collectsmedals Posted February 28, 2021 Share #4 Posted February 28, 2021 I really do not know the value of these DUIs, but how can you go wrong for $5?
