AirMechanic Posted February 26, 2021 Share #1 Posted February 26, 2021 Does anyone know what the AA prefix stands for on a late 1940s dog tag? I saw it on a woman’s dog tag with a tetanus date of 1948. I believe the WWII enlisted WAC prefix was a single A. Is the AA a post-war prefix for WACs, or does it denote something else? gitana Posted March 1, 2021 Share #2 Posted March 1, 2021 US Air Force enlisted women (WAF). Looks like the prefix was implemented in Sept 1949.
