Recently got this M-209-B converter from an older collection I bought. Would like to receive some more information and opinions on it. Is it original ww2? To me it looks okay. Would like to hear more about it.

Persian Gulf Command

Nice and original WW2 (1944) issue.  Also appears to have the tweezers that are often missing.

If you find two of the U-shaped screwdrivers let me know as I need one also.

This is what they look like:

Screwdriver looks like something that could be easily fabricated. Find a vintage screwdriver and use a multitool to sand the U shape? I think it's impossible to find one in the wild.

Fixbayonets!

A few years ago I bought an excellent set of reproduction M-209 screwdriver & tweezer on eBay.  Not sure if he still offers them.

I fabricated my screwdriver out of a modern production "pocket" screwdriver.  Was simple and easy to do, just notched the tip and sanded off the markings on the handle.  I don't remember exactly where I got it, probably Amazon or eBay.

For anyone interested in these machines and wanting to connect with some extremely knowledgable and helpful enthusiasts, I recommend checking out the M-209 Cipher Machine Group: https://www.nf6x.net/groups/m209group/
