GeneralCheese Posted February 20, 2021 Share #5 Posted February 20, 2021 Neat article, sort of confirms my feelings about "early", "mid", or "late" war designations being the only real way to date helmets. What is very useful are the few hard dates they got from records about 55A and below and the others, but that still can't tell you how long it sat at the back of a warehouse before being issued. Some are definitely reworked since you can see the old spot welds, but I would agree it is likely most were just at the back of the warehouse.
