Korean Govt in Exile flag to American soldier

I’m pretty sure that this is the Government in exile flag. I know the Korean government set up shop in China during the Japanese occupation. What I don’t know is the language on the flag. Is it Chinese? It doesn’t look Korean. Looks like a Korean may have gifted this to a US Soldier after we occupied the country in 1945 after the Japanese defeat. This Korean did some translation of the symbols on the flag to whomever he gifted it to. Any thoughts or comments? Thanks

That type of Taegeukgi (Korean flag) seems to have been made in 1921.  However, it appears that the writing on the flag was written in 1947. The writings is the name of the Korean president and vice president, both are very important persons in Korean history, and the Korean national anthem.

Thanks for the information. The flag is actually dated  November of 1945 in English. Is there something written in Korean that indicates 1947? As far as the name of the President and Vice President , are the names of those two men from the 1921 period or from a later date in history? Thanks, John
