Addo504 Posted February 17, 2021 Share #1 Posted February 17, 2021 Does any one know the information that US Army officially release M65 field Jacket Multicam/ OCP? besides OG107,Woodland Camouflage, Tree Color, and ACU...
Martinjmpr Posted February 18, 2021 Share #2 Posted February 18, 2021 I'm long retired but from what I've seen the old M-65 field jacket has all but disappeared, replaced by the gore-tex parka. In the example above pictured, I don't see the chest tab for rank which is how all Army uniforms have displayed rank since they adopted the ACU in 2005. So it's just a guess on my part but I'd say that picture above is a commercial variant of the M-65, not something issued. I do recall seeing some ACU field jackets, I think they were issued to new troops for cold weather wear since Gore-Tex is an "organizational issue" item that brand new troops would not get. But I've never seen anbody wearing one.

Crap Game Posted April 3, 2021 Share #5 Posted April 3, 2021 I know Atlanco/Tru-Spec has made a Multicam 50/50 NyCo ripstop M-65 for over 10 years. I thought Big Army discontinued the M-65 in UCP years before Multicam/OCP ACU cut was made limited issue for Afghan theatre?
Texengland Posted April 19, 2021 Share #6 Posted April 19, 2021 The last time I was issued an M65 was a 3 color desert in 2002. Haven't seen an issue 65 since then so I would think any 65 in Multicam/OCP would be a commercial product.
solsys Posted May 11, 2021 Share #7 Posted May 11, 2021 The US Army stopped issuing the M-65 in FY 2009. It was never adopted in MultiCam or OCP. https://soldiersystems.net/2008/05/29/field-jacket-a-eulogy/
