MilitaryPicker1941 Posted February 18, 2021 Share #2 Posted February 18, 2021 They’re just regular sateen pants, not m65
Paul marsden Posted February 18, 2021 Author Share #3 Posted February 18, 2021 Ok thanks would they have been worn in combat at all. They are going for a cheap price thats why I wanted to find out first. Is it possible to date them via the dsa marking?
schk Posted February 18, 2021 Share #4 Posted February 18, 2021 When I've talked to guys who served in Vietnam, I've often had some refer to these og107 sateen shirts/pants as "state-side" uniforms. These were usually just utility pants and not intended for combat compared to the jungle jacket/pants. The contract is circa '
kammo-man Posted February 19, 2021 Share #5 Posted February 19, 2021 They were worn in combat.Owen Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
VMI88 Posted February 23, 2021 Share #6 Posted February 23, 2021 In the early years of Vietnam only combat soldiers received the jungle fatigue uniforms. Even aviators seemed to wear OG-107s a lot. Later in the war nearly everyone in country was issued jungle fatigues whether they served in the field or not.

patches Posted February 24, 2021 Share #10 Posted February 24, 2021 The Fatigue pants did see scattered use in combat as well as everyday wear outside of the field. like in base camps etc well into 1968, as seen here in February 1968 with a Marine during the Battle of Hue, mostly with Marines, Navy and Air Force, less so in the Army. There were three worn concurrently in the mid 60s to late 60s, the 1st 2nd and 3rd Patterns, the older patterns continue to be worn by the men who had them. The type of insignia worn on each of them will vary from service to service, and within the army from year to year.
