Hello

I got nice unpainted Westinghouse Liner, but i'm not sure about orginality of the Sweatband.

The Buckle and Spring Clips are made of Brass. Are that correct ?.

regards

Michael

reproduction for sure. stamping is bad, and finished edges are not of the same looming process used back then. compare it with that of your suspension. there will be a distinct difference. also, it is quite fuzzy. another tell, is that repro webbing will generally feel thicker, and a little more stiff in hand

Here is the stamping on a PKW (= manufacturer Paul K. Weill Co.) nape strap and as the lay out is the same as on your headband, there are subtle differences in the font used. Especially in the letter 'PKW'. As far as the springclips go yours look to be of the second type and so far I have never seen those come in brass. (Maybe you can go over to the 1944 supply website. In the categorie Liner Parts ( you'll have to scroll all the way down) you will find all three types mentioned https://www.1944supply.com/en/8-liner-parts ). Hope this helps.
