ArchangelDM Posted February 8, 2021 Share #1 Posted February 8, 2021 Here is a real Quandary I won this on EBay a few weeks ago, I love these real interesting little camo’d gems. It’s a nice earlyish cover with a frog skin hand camo scheme, what’s also super interesting is the name on it. The surname is Wachter, not your average surname, after looking through my hand Camo’d gear is also a lower pack named to Wachter who I have also I’d’d to a marine on the islands. Afrer looking at the names side by side I see that the W is very consistent on both items, a low But wide centre V with wide arms. Could be total coincidence! But still very cool, marines had been known to also use army gear Love to hear what you all think on this one, both are written with Wax pen Enjoy - Dean
ww2collector985 Posted February 8, 2021 Share #2 Posted February 8, 2021 Could be a coincidence, but those ‘W’s sure do look a lot alike. Great pieces!!
US Military Guy Posted February 9, 2021 Share #3 Posted February 9, 2021 The field pack is all upper case letters. The canteen cover is upper and lower case letters. Just an observation.
