Apache-8 Posted February 8, 2021 Share #1 Posted February 8, 2021 Hello, I recently purchased an m1 helmet and have been having trouble trying to identify the shell as it has a rather strange set of straps and the heat stamp is probably rusted over. It is rear seam, stainless steel rim, swivel bales and post WW2 sanding texture. The way the bales are attached seems similar to a euro clone with the middle pice on the top. the straps look to be an OD7 colour and are riveted on. The two connectors are a squashed figure 8 shape (think cartoon fish or gold fish cracker). any Ideas where and when this shell may be from? all help is greatly appreciated. m1a2u2 Posted February 8, 2021 Share #2 Posted February 8, 2021 It's a Spanish M1 helmet. The chin straps give it away.
