Greetings,

I picked up this Collins tonight.

I dont know a lot about them but this one and its sheath look decent to me.

All the examples of these, I have seen, are pitted looking like this example. Maybe they were

Smooth when new ?

Nice one Thorin ! I read that both types were made concurrently.

The green horn handles like yours and the ones like mine and that they were not used in the Spanish American war.

I have 3. The horn handle example has very clear markings. The top one is unmarked. Center has the rough finish and a very light maker stamp.

Here is a new one that I picked up. Still waiting for it to arrive.

I think it is unmarked. Seller listed it as a Philippine Bolo.

But it looks to me to be an unmarked collins type 2 ?

The blade looks nicer on this one.

I think it's the other way around, made by Chatillion for Foster.
