P-59A Posted February 7, 2021 Share #1 Posted February 7, 2021 This is my M-44 rig. Everything save the lower pack is dated 1944. These only made it to the ETO at the very end and only a few units had these. I'm not sure if they made it to the Pacific or not. This has all of its connecting straps. Most of them were cut off when they were converted to carry the M-45 lower.

huntssurplus Posted February 10, 2021 Share #3 Posted February 10, 2021 Love it! I know it was somewhat common for just the upper back to be worn as well, at least in combat situations. Anyone know where the lower back would be stored during this time? Seems like if a unit was on the move, it would be unlikely there would be a suitable place for lower portion to be stored, unless it was with the other duffel bag filled with their dress uniform and such.
