Not a PA guy but proud to be new caretaker of this brave young man”s  memory .

he died only 10 days into his tour !

scratches on back show up more in pictures than in hand.

Very nice medal! I am unfamiliar with Vietnam War units. How many members of the 173rd airborne were KIA throughout the war?

Edward F. Murphy’s outstanding book on the 173d in South Vietnam, Dak To - America’s Sky Soldiers in South Vietnam’s Central Highlands, indicates 1,748 Sky Soldiers were KIA in SVN with more than 8,700 WIA.
