US Constabulary liner Help

Hey guys, I just got this liner marked to the US Constabulary. I've been doing a bit of research and heard that the way the insignia was applied can sometimes determine which Constabulary unit it belonged to. Is this true and if so, what unit would this helmet be from? It is named inside to a Colonel Wilson which is unfortunately a bit generic of a name, but may be possible to ID. If anyone could help out with that or give me a place to start, that would be great. Thanks!

I can't answer your question, but I do want to ask what is the material covering the webbing in the liner? I don't believe I've seen this before, Interesting liner!

Can't help with the dating, but I love the liner! Constabulary liners are my helmet interest! :) Thanks for sharing! Really cool!

Thanks guys! And yeah it's made out of a silky material. He put holes in it so the sweatband clips go through them securing it in place.
