Bob Hudson Posted January 27, 2009 Share #4 Posted January 27, 2009 Those are the Type EE Field Glass They are a WWI design but as of 1937 the Army still had 100,00 of them on hand - however they started working on new designs in 1940, adapting commercial designs for military use and started th "M" series.
