itsmagneto Posted February 4, 2021 Share #1 Posted February 4, 2021 Hello USMF, I received my very first USN G-1 Jacket, it is in poor condition, but something catched my interest. If I understood everything right, the G-1 model 55J14 (AER) from Star Sportswear MFG.Co. Lynn. Mass. was produced between 1947-1951, the punched USN in the (GAS?) Flap under the zipper was introduced somewhere around 1956-57. The Jacket that I got now has the USN Stencil on the Backside of the Collar and the punched USN in the Gasflap. How does this fit together? Is the answer that the Jacket was used for a longer period, that they also punched the USN? And on the Flap is something embossed may someone has seen it before and can help me with that. Thank you very much already! I hope you can open the pictures...
