mikie Posted January 29, 2021 Share #1 Posted January 29, 2021 After finding a couple of interesting canteen items lately, I'm afraid to say I drank the collecting cool-aide. I've seen reference, but no real information, about early pre-WWI canteen cups with a flat bottom. Does anybody have any info on when these were issued and for how long? Would this be correct to team up with I my nicely marked 1917 dated cover and undated pre-war canteen? Thanks in advance for any sage advice about these cups. mikie Posted January 29, 2021 Author Share #3 Posted January 29, 2021 Here are some pictures from the auction. I can't find any reference to these things and would rather hear about them from one of you than rely on the seller. He isn't selling it for any more than the usual rounded bottom cups. Thanks again for any insight. Mikie
