hink441 Posted January 28, 2021 Share #1 Posted January 28, 2021 I bought this at a local antique shop. The helmet was purportedly brought back by a US Army veteran during Desert Storm. Now I am the caretaker of this helmet. It is a M-80 Iraqi helmet with a unit marking on the right side. The liner is somewhat intact and still has dirt and sand inside. The chinstrap is missing. There is also numerous defects and holes throughout the helmet. I believe those are numerals in the black painted circle. Possibly the number “43”. Wayward Son Posted January 28, 2021 Share #2 Posted January 28, 2021 Nice save! The hand made markings really give it personality and set it apart from others.

trenchfoot Posted January 28, 2021 Share #5 Posted January 28, 2021 Very nice helmet! Looks like it took a few hits from shrapnel. Russ
