GALEM Posted January 25, 2021 Share #1 Posted January 25, 2021 I have an Underwood M1 Carbine made in early 1944 which was post-war refurbished at Augusta Arsenal ("AAQ"). It is a mix-master having been refusbished and has predominantly Underwood and Inland parts. It has what appears to be a Type II flat bolt marked "H.U.". Can anyone please tell me which manufacturer made this bolt and whether it is probably a post-WWII bolt? I cannot find this information anywhere. Thanks & best
thorin6 Posted January 25, 2021 Share #2 Posted January 25, 2021 "War Baby" shows a bolt subcontractor for Underwood named Howe Machinery Company. Marking for those bolts was unknown at the time "War Baby" was published.
