scottiques Posted January 23, 2021 Share #1 Posted January 23, 2021 I am not certain what this is. Based on the tag, it appears to be some sort of army device for a weapons system. Any Ideas on what this came off of? It dates from about 1960- 64. From the estate of a soldier who served in the US Army in Hawaii. Any help is appreciated Scott
scottiques Posted January 26, 2021 Author Share #2 Posted January 26, 2021 I thought this would get a quick answer. Any old arty guys out there? I am still assuming it is a rocket/ missile arming device. Scott
lilfry14 Posted April 20, 2021 Share #3 Posted April 20, 2021 Reminds me of a hardpoint for connecting missile/bombs to the rails.
scottiques Posted April 20, 2021 Author Share #4 Posted April 20, 2021 Thanks much appreciate the feedback. Any specific weapons systems come to mind? I thought this was going to go unanswered. Scott
lilfry14 Posted April 21, 2021 Share #5 Posted April 21, 2021 Since it says "Remove before firing" instead of "remove before flight" I think you're right in the assumption that it'd be a landbased weapon. I was thinking something like a little john, that slides up a launch rail, but I have little knowledge of weapons of that time period. https://www.flickr.com/photos/rocbolt/8063185258
