Just got this one In. 5th AAF seahawks. Need to do a little research still but named to “E J Bishop”. Made by Olson-Dennis size 44. A few tears but I love that B-24 on the back. Enjoy!baa4dfd3a9d738232e58eb04e9ce2884.jpg

Great looking B-10!!

Like mentioned that size is a awesome find.

That would fit on a mannequin with no problem.

Someday. Bucket list!!!!

Congrats on adding that one.

Interesting bit of B-24 history for you.... Art Rodgers of the 5th AF’s 90th BG hatched the idea of putting a turret in the nose of a B-24 and ran it by technical guys at the Ford plant at Willow Run. He grabbed a tail turret out of a wrecked B-24 in Brisbane and fitted it to an aircraft for testing. It was a hit. General Kenney immediately had 36 turrets put on order.

Glad to see all the positive comments about this B-10, as I’m the new owner of it 👍🏼😊 I’m trying to find some history on this group the Seahawk’s but all that ever comes up is the Seattle football team 😁

You might try the squadrons of the 90th BG. The group’s four squadrons flew B-24’s. Squadrons were the 319th, 320th, 321st, and 400th. One of them might have gone by the name Seahawks.

5th AF, 43rd Bomb Group, 63rd Bombardment Squadron. They started flying B-24’s in September 1943.

Here’s an item found online from the same outfit.

I haven’t found anything yet on Mr Bishop, but a little research has yielded a few interesting bits, plus I found an association for alumni and family of the bomb group so hopefully I’ll be able to find something on Bishop there. 👍🏼😊
