'Flage Guy Posted January 19, 2021 Share #2 Posted January 19, 2021 When I was a kid, I got hold of a few beginners' how-to "skin diving" books, and surplus Cartridge Belts were always recommended for use as weight belts. They said that the "standard military buckle" should be cut off and replaced with a quick-release buckle; looks like the guy who had this one patterned his after the Navy and commercial quick-release. I've got magazine photos of whole groups of guys in the '50s and '60s in dry suits and loaded Ammo Belts, but I can't find 'em- they're around here somewhere.
