VMI88 Posted January 18, 2021 Share #1 Posted January 18, 2021 I picked up some unknown patches recently at a flea market. They came with some other military patches but I don't even know for sure they originally went together. I don't recognize the design or construction of the bottom three patches - can anyone help? The Army & Air Force and Odd Squad patches on the top row appear Japanese made but the bottom three are more crude.
vintageproductions Posted January 18, 2021 Share #2 Posted January 18, 2021 The motion picture one is Japanese made and the rest are Thai made.
VMI88 Posted January 18, 2021 Author Share #3 Posted January 18, 2021 Thanks for the information! If anyone can help identify the patches (other than the obvious Motion Picture Service one) I'd appreciate it.
Allan H. Posted January 18, 2021 Share #4 Posted January 18, 2021 The WAF Liberation, I would assume was the movement to disband the Womens' Air Force and to absorb female air force personnel into the USAF as a whole. The same thing was happening in the army with the WAC going away as a separate branch. Allan
VMI88 Posted January 18, 2021 Author Share #5 Posted January 18, 2021 Interesting - that could easily fit with the Motion Picture Service patch. I would think a lot of female personnel would have been assigned there. Thanks!
