China Marine POW Ralph Pratte

I received this belt buckle in a grouping from a Vietnam Marine Vet. This belonged to his family member, Ralph Pratte, a StLouis Missouri native who was a POW of the Japanese during the war. Although it’s not named, the item rings true. I have found a bit of information online. The family member said the man rarely talked about his experience but he must have been proud enough to make his belt buckle.

Very nice item from a very dark period for those Marines and soldier's who were captured by the Japanese.
