JimD Posted January 16, 2021 Share #1 Posted January 16, 2021 I am curious about prices for a M1850 Foot Officers Sword (not Mounted Officer or Staff and Field) with the leather scabbard. I know there is a super premium placed on dated and Government Inspected examples as opposed to commercial or private purchase examples by Ames and other makers/assemblers. What is the current market value for an 1861-62 dated Ames 1850 Foot Officer's sword with Government Inspection marks? Not a mint example mind you, but an honest complete sword and scabbard without any major flaws. Thanks in advance, Jim
dhcoleterracina Posted January 16, 2021 Share #2 Posted January 16, 2021 Jim, I like Larry Hicklen from Middle Tennessee Relics. He has a similar, though German import FO sword for $1150 and another for $950. Ames is better

Thanks for the referral.
