First I want to thank the US Military Forum for accepting my request to join such a knowledgeable group of colleagues who share my passion for preserving our great American history.  I am an avid collector of all artifacts dating from the period of the War Between the States and earlier.  I have an affiliation with the Library and Museum of Confederate History in Greenville, SC and would encourage everyone to search our website and even visit this wonderful treasure located in the beautiful foothills of South Carolina.  The particular post that led me to this forum was about the Dahlgren bayonet.  The detailed pictures of one with such proven provenance has been a tremendous asset in the education of how to more accurately identify authentic period pieces from the prolific reproductions that are on the market today.  Detailed pictures of any other such documented Dahlgrens would be greatly appreciated.
