5thrangerson Posted January 10, 2021 Share #1 Posted January 10, 2021 Have several boxes of .45 ball ammo that is Frankford Arsenal 1935 dated. Are these desirable as a WW2 collectible? Boxes are not in the best of shape but all but one is still sealed shut, all are FA lot 716. Any ideas on the value of a box? Thanks!!
Lsparks Posted January 10, 2021 Share #2 Posted January 10, 2021 Yes, it’s desirable as collectible. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
silverplate Posted January 10, 2021 Share #3 Posted January 10, 2021 Is there any printing on the top of the boxes? They appear to have had labels applied over a bright red label. That was done in the late 30s after the rounds were "roll tested" for an incorrect powder charge, then a notation was printed on the top of the box. The notation and double labels add to their collectability and value.
5thrangerson Posted January 11, 2021 Author Share #4 Posted January 11, 2021 Nothing else is printed on the boxes. Just what is in the pictures.
