Pops506th Posted January 9, 2021 Share #1 Posted January 9, 2021 I've never seen a shoulder rig like this. Is it an issue item or a private purchase kind of deal. I couldn't find any dates or contract markings. Looks like it'll hold a revolver or Colt combat commander.
Kansas Raider Posted January 9, 2021 Share #2 Posted January 9, 2021 Holster is for a M13 Aircrewman revolver, Colt or S&W
dustin Posted January 9, 2021 Share #3 Posted January 9, 2021 The 55D3513 is a USAF Drawing or Part number, 55 signifies the fiscal year 1955. That is the date of the drawing and does not reflect the date of its actual manufacture, that will help with a little bit of an era refinement. Pops506th Posted January 10, 2021 Author Share #4 Posted January 10, 2021 Thanks for the info. I got it from an Air Guard Vet who is a very good friend of mine. Unfortunately, his memory isn't very good anymore.

Kansas Raider Posted February 2, 2021 Share #9 Posted February 2, 2021 Did they wear the holster over the shoulder where the gun was under the arm or over the shoulder down to the hip? Thanks Steve
kwill Posted February 2, 2021 Share #10 Posted February 2, 2021 It was designed to be worn in a variety of ways. There was also a version for revolvers with 4-inch barrels. The Colt Aircrewman was shipped with a Heiser made holster sold through Evaluators, LTD.
Kansas Raider Posted February 3, 2021 Share #11 Posted February 3, 2021 I thought this would be OK in here. This is my other holster for the M13 revolver, it came in a small grouping from a missileleer officer in the 351th missile. I believe there has never been a pistol in it.
