Paul,

On the mannequin that is dressed with tigers, bar belt, and helmet....can you tell me if that is a "toe-popper" resting on one of the bar pouches? If so, is it original or is it a repaint? Those are tough to find.

Cheers.

Paul, the two men in the photograph in your #25 post are John Shore and Lynn Black. Both were on RT Idaho with John "Tilt" Meyer.

Haven't seen Andy and Les for quite a few years. Andy was a good bloke, I think that last time I saw him was at OVMS in Kentucky in 2000 or 2001. Bob was there too.

Hi Paul,

Come to think of something here, you had a great looking piece a few years back that was for sale.

We had our ideas of it being a CIDG / SF / Advisors piece....but weren't sure.

I am referring to that cool beogam shirt you had, which was modified with a full length zip.

I am hoping you recall this, so your not wondering how the heck I do! Maybe my memory is too good

with this stuff! LOL...

Just thought of it, and wanted to see if you ever did find out more about it.

I remember wanting to purchase it, but you and I were stumped about it.

Cheers.

Duffy

I think Andy is selling on Ebay under a couple of different names now. I remember running into him at Camden all the time and at the Great Western. For a long time he was supplying all the remake squadron patches for Gary Eastman's company. I think I heard someplace he has a shop at Normandy now.

Les Martin on the other hand I speak to frequently still. He came over for a SOS a couple of years ago, and just recently got back into the militaria business. He is mostly doing really early English pistols & swords now.

Thanks,

I was lucky enough to pick that up for a decent price a few years ago along with the CISO set of NVA and a bunch of tiger boonies and some other high speed stuff when a friend dumped his entire SOG/SF collection in order to buy a house and chase woman! luckily I had taken a loan out against my home a good idea then, now Im rethinking that that idea, but I did get some cool stuff including a 2nd SOG 1-0 vest, sog black boonie and a few other goodies,

:)

Paul,

You are fortunate to own a Swedish K, I have been on the hunt for one here forever!

I must have asked every gun collector here! LOL....

I've wanted a deactivated one for quite some time now....wishful thinking though!

Dewatts are around here, but it depends what a person is looking for.

For WW2 Canadian and British collectors, there is lot's to choose from, but for WW2 U.S and up....

it can be difficult.

There is a fella in another province here, who sells a huge number of dewatts.....once in a while,

he puts the odd rare piece on, but mainly just the norm.

I tried to do some research on the exact Uzi's that SOG had in their inventories, so far....I have received

information, on that they were IMI Folding stock versions.

The reason I was curious, as this is one of the rare pieces that this place has here, they want a pretty penny

for it....but it is original.

Up to date, I have found the earlier version containing the wooden stock....but I haven't heard anything regarding SOG using that type, just the folding one.

Yours is a dummy gun, right? With a dummy receiver?

I have seen a variation of dummy guns, in the U.S.....but never a Swedish K.

Make sure and cherish that one! Hang on to it forever!

The closet I have come here to an extremely exotic weapon, of very uncommon nature, was a S&W M76.

It hasn't moved....I don't think there are as many collectors of the sort, as there would be of it in the states.

Anyhow....nice piece once again.

Cheers,

Duffy
