BOLO Posted January 26, 2009 Share #1 Posted January 26, 2009 I have a nice WWII liner with tan webbing but it's missing the tan cord used to adjust the liner suspension, what should I use to fix it? would a tan cotton shoe lace be acceptable as a replacement? or do they make a repro liner adjustment cord? doyler Posted January 26, 2009 Share #2 Posted January 26, 2009 I know there is a guy on ebay who has a lot of the WW2 dark brown shoe laces.I would think an old piece of para cord would also work(the OD of course!!)I would imagine there is one of the helmet makers doing a repo of the string.PM forum member/owner of top pots and see what he has or wait for the trashed liner to come along for parts.Another thought is to use the cord out of set of leggins or the cord found on some of the Marine Corps trousers, the short ones for blousing the leg openings. Good luck RON
BOLO Posted January 26, 2009 Author Share #3 Posted January 26, 2009 I'll probably just use a tan color piece of a shoe lace.
