Mr. Scratch Posted January 3, 2021 Share #1 Posted January 3, 2021 Digging through a heap of Vietnam-era stuff, and found this boonie hat. Doesn't look like a modern military issue, but I know the early SOG ones were varied, and I'm not well-versed in all that.Black lining around the interior rim of the hat, but not on the top. Is this good for something or does it go off to Goodwill?
MilitaryPicker1941 Posted January 4, 2021 Share #2 Posted January 4, 2021 This looks post war civilian to me, but I’d wait for other opinions before giving it away

bravo_2_zero Posted January 12, 2021 Share #4 Posted January 12, 2021 Reminds me of the caddy shack type from 80’s-90’s period ones. I have an urban one I picked up in 1991 with same black stiffener ,webbing cotton weave foliage band and shoe lace eyelets. This was pretty much all you could get back then till Propper stated making a civilian 1:1 copy military in the 90’s.
