Joe Visor Posted January 3, 2021 Share #1 Posted January 3, 2021 Having collected US cap insignia over the years, I have gone down the road of many specialized collectors and look for the different makers and variations of insignia. Wanted to share this one particular style that I have come across. So a bit of back story, my wife asked me to get her a classic style wedding band for our anniversary. While we were at the Jewelers looking through all the stock wedding bands in catalogs, I realized that this could explain why I have several of the same eagle with different makers. My assumption is that this was a stock Jeweler's quality eagle that could be purchase by Jewelers and stamped with their markings. Should also note that there are different levels of quality, hollow back, solid back, and gold fill. Please feel free to view my online archive of US cap insignia at: https://ehive.com/collections/9517/us-military-cap-insignia I am the first to admit I don't know everything, if you see something miss identified or have any information on US cap insignia you would like to share, I would love to hear from you. Always looking for US cap insignia, unusual makers, variations, original photos of insignia being worn and information on makers.
Josh B. Posted June 11, 2021 Share #2 Posted June 11, 2021 The one with the solid gold rope is really stunning. Guessing it’s a tough maker to find?
