Hookemhorns88 Posted December 30, 2020 Share #28 Posted December 30, 2020 Thanks for posting these. Looks like you could fill a full day there. A few years ago the 747 and Space Shuttle combo landed at the local regional airport (GGG) that has an exceptionally long runway. It was impressive to say the least. kammo-man Posted December 30, 2020 Author Share #33 Posted December 30, 2020 So it was explained to me NASA makes 3 of everything. 1 for training. 1 for backup. 1 for deployment. So everything shown is as it’s cousin deployed in space. Also shown is the Russian green docking system that’s as old as shuttle and still being used. international space station is just that. A world wide project with all politics set aside.

Persian Gulf Command Posted December 30, 2020 Share #41 Posted December 30, 2020 Those are really great pictures and it looks like you had a great time. Also, looks like you had some awesome BBQ. But where are the NASA Camouflage Uniforms? You know the ones for the Space Walks, and the Moon. I really want to see the experimental patterns for Mars! My 10 year old daughter was in a "mood" on our trip to the Kennedy Space Center. Not real fun. Things changed instantly with a stop at the food court and gift shop. Just wish they were at the beginning of the tour, not the end. Great report and photos. That BBQ looks amazing! Mikie
Longhorn92 Posted December 31, 2020 Share #43 Posted December 31, 2020 Nice pics. I haven’t been there since my kids were in grade school. Killen’s often has a long line but since the pandemic started they deliver to my neighborhood. So we’ve ordered several times in the past six months. Expensive as all get out but very good.
